Obituary of Veronica Gaskill
Veronica (Ronnie, “GiGi”) Gaskill, 68, of Ventnor, went to be with the Lord surrounded by family on Friday, March 9, 2018 after a brief illness. Ronnie was born on June 5, 1949, in Ventnor, NJ.
She was predeceased by her parents, William Brown and Margaret Brown, sisters Marge Seifried and Gerry Hand.
Ronnie is survived by her husband of 47 years, Ralph Gaskill, sons Ryan (Rachel) of Margate, NJ, and Adam (Sara) of Cooper City, FL, grandchildren Grace, Hannah, Abigail, and Jack, a sister Dolores Roesch of Galloway, NJ, a brother William Brown, II of Lake Ariel, PA, and many nephews and nieces.
A graduate of Holy Spirit High School and Rowan University with a Masters Degree in Library Science, Ronnie enjoyed a lengthy career as a teacher at the St. James School, Ventnor, NJ, Ventnor City Schools, Margate City Schools, and most recently as a librarian at Atlantic City High School, where she will be fondly remembered by faculty, staff, and students.
Ronnie regularly conducted Bible studies in her home and was an active member of Beacon Evangelical Free Church, where she volunteered in the nursery. Her favorite spare time activities were reading, Zumba, walking the boardwalk and spending time with family and friends on the beach.
Best wife, mother, grandmother, sister, friend and cheerleader, Ronnie will be remembered for her love of family and her strong Christian faith. Psalm 46:10 “Be still and know that I am God” ILYFILYFA
