Obituary of Joseph Tamton, Jr.
Tamton, Joseph J., 87 years old of Longport, passed away at Shore Memorial Hospital on Sunday, February 18th, 2018. He was born on April 7, 1930 in Philadelphia. He was a graduate of Roxborough High School in Philadelphia and worked as an entrepreneur until retiring in 2003. Joseph was a veteran of the Korean War and served in the US Navy.
Joseph is predeceased by his wife Dolores, whom he adored. They met in Manayunk, Pa and remained married for over fifty years.
He is survived by his brother-in-law, Thomas Loughran and sisters-in-law, Sister Frances Joseph IHM, Lucy Fritz, Florence Loughran, Evelyn Loughran, and many nieces and nephews. Longtime caregiver and devoted friend, Deborah Fasy; also friends, Gail Biddle and Francis Kappes; and Jessica Taroes “The Kid.”

Friends and family may call beginning at 10am on Monday, February 26th at Holy Trinity Parish: Epiphany Church, Longport. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11am.
