Obituary of Thomas E. Holton III
Thomas E. Holton III, 77, of Longport, NJ passed away peacefully with family by his side on Thursday, November 19, 2020 after valiantly battling cancer.
Tom was born in Philadelphia, PA to Thomas E. Holton, Jr and Mary (Zayszly) Holton. He graduated from Bishop Neumann High School in South Philadelphia. He served in the Army National Guard. He retired from the City of Philadelphia Police Department in 1986.
Tom is predeceased by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Kathleen (Myers) and his children Thomas, Cathleen Smith and Patrick (Danielle DiOrio). He is also survived by six grandchildren who were his heart and soul: Thomas, Frankie, Callie, Brielle, Catherine and Ryan.
Tom was known for un-wilting love of his family. He always was good for a laugh and made others smile. He lived life on his terms and has quoted Frank Sinatra, “The record shows I took the blows and did it my way. Yes, it was my way!”
A viewing will be held on Tuesday 9 - 10:30 am at the George H. Wimberg Funeral Home, 1707 New Rd., Linwood, NJ followed by a Mass at 11am at the Blessed Sacrament Church, Margate, NJ.
