Piluso, Rose, age 97, of Egg Harbor Township, NJ passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loved ones on June 12, 2020. Rose was born on March 27, 1923 in Edna, Italy. She came to America at the early age of 3 and resided in South Philadelphia. She graduated from Southern High School and went to work for her older sister, Lucy’s company making blouses as their head seamstress. In her spare time she loved to garden and listen to music, Barbara Streisand was just one of her favorites.
Her pride and joy was being a wonderful homemaker, wife, and mother to her 2 children, Charles and Lydia. Rose and Al had a love story like no other. Date nights with dancing and dining, family game nights, and of course going to the casino with friends and her partner in crime, her younger sister Susie and husband Fred.
Rose lived the last 31 years with her daughter Lydia, husband Ric, and grandchildren Nicole and Sean after the sudden loss of her beloved husband Al. She taught her family by example how to live in the moment, love unconditionally, and that a families bond is unbreakable. Rose will be sorely missed, but we find comfort in knowing that she is finally at peace, dancing in the arms of her husband being our guardian angels in the sky.
Survivors include her son, Charles Piluso and her daughter Lydia Piluso Lewis and husband Ric. Her grandchildren Nicole Lewis, Sean Lewis, Andrea Piluso Harrington and husband Brendan, Allison Piluso, Anthony Piluso and wife Colleen. Her great-grandchildren Finn and Dylan Harrington and Brekynne Piluso. Numerous nieces and nephews, but 2 in particular that were very close to her heart are Linda and Bill Gruman.
Rose was preceded in death by her husband Al Piluso and her siblings Lucy Teti, Michael Lodato, Angelo Lodato, Connie Papparella, and Sue Miller. Memorial contributions may be made to Angelic Hospice Care, 8025 Black Horse Pike, Suite 501, West Atlant5ic City, NJ 08232.
