George H. Wimberg, Jr., Funeral Director ​

George H. Wimberg, Jr., NJ Lic. No. 2556 is the president of the firm. A lifetime resident of Ventnor, he has been very active throughout the community in numerous capacities over the years including the Lions Club and a fourth degree Knights of Columbus member. He is a graduate of Holy Spirit High School and Villanova University. George coordinates a number of the programs for the Ventnor Historical Society, is active in Holy Trinity Parish -Saint James Church and can be seen jogging on the boardwalk or surfing early many mornings. George worked with the Independent Seaport Museum at Penns Landing to restore the “MisLeading Lady”, a 1928 Ventnor Runabout made by the Ventnor Boat Works.

George H. Wimberg, III, Funeral Director

George H. Wimberg, III, NJ Lic. No. 3778 is the manager of the Ventnor and Linwood facilities. Raised in Ventnor and is a graduate of Atlantic City High School and Mercer County Community College. He now resides in Northfield with his wife Christy and four children and is a member of St. Gianna Beretta Molla Parish – St. Bernadette Church and Knights of Columbus Council 6277. He is Treasurer of the Ventnor Historical Society.

James Piarulli, Funeral Director

James Piarulli, NJ Lic. No. 3851, has been serving the community as a funeral director for over 30 years. He grew up in Bayonne, NJ and attended The American Academy of Mcallister Institute where he received his Mortuary Science degree. James is involved in numerous community organizations such as the Knights of Columbus and is one of the leaders for the Light of the World faith group. He also enjoys being a Usher and Eucharistic Minister at St. Mary's Parish in Manahawkin. In his free time, he enjoys fishing, cooking, and cycling. Currently he resides in Manahawkin, NJ with his wife and daughter.

Samantha A. Tripet, CFSP, Funeral Director

Samantha A. Tripet, NJ Lic. No. 5155, C.F.S.P. (Certified Funeral Service Practitioner), is a licensed Funeral Director, she completed the Mortuary Science Program at Mercer County Community College. She is an alumni of Stockton University with Bachelors Degrees in Business Management and Economics. Samantha is currently enrolled in the Masters of Thanatology Program offered by Marian University. She is recognized by the InSight Institute as a Certified Funeral Celebrant, and enjoys working with families to create personalized, meaningful services. Samantha was raised in Northfield, attending Mainland Regional High School and currently resides in Egg Harbor Township. She is an active member in the Kiwanis, Northfield Ladies Fire Auxiliary and volunteers with the Girl Scouts of America.

Kelsey Wimberg, Office Administrator

Kelsey Wimberg is the 6th generation of Wimbergs working in the funeral business. She was raised in Northfield and is a graduate of Mainland Regional High School class of 2016. In the summer, Kelsey is also a waitress at Smittys Clam Bar in Somers Point. She is a big animal advocate and also runs her own pet sitting business.

George H. Wimberg, IV, (Chip) Funeral Assistant 

Chip is the 6th generation of Wimbergs working in the funeral business. He was raised in Northfield, where he was a member of Boy Scout Troop 72, and is a graduate of Mainland Regional High School class of 2018. He was a business major at the Catholic University of America in Washington D.C., where he managed both the football and rugby teams. In early 2021, Chip transferred into the Mortuary Science Program at Mercer County Community College, where he is currently enrolled and working to join his family business in becoming a funeral director.

  Bob VanDyke, Funeral Assistant

​Born in Long Branch, NJ and grew up in Northfield. Bob graduated from Mainland Regional High School and received an Associates Degree from Atlantic Cape Community College. He went on to join the Atlantic City Fire Department in 1973, retiring after 33 years with the rank of Captain. Bob married his wife Sharon in 1980, and has two children and two grandchildren. He is fortunate to have stayed local, enjoying the Jersey Shore. "I have now had the pleasure of working for the George Wimberg Funeral Home for several years and can truly say I appreciate and thoroughly enjoy the people I work with."
