Obituary of Joan Cover

Cover, Joan K., of Galloway, Sweet Joan Marie passed away on Friday, December 29th at 11:11pm surrounded by her loving family of caregivers, at home due to the horrible disease of dementia.
Nannie was an incredible woman who grew up in Philadelphia and later moved to Margate, where she lived in the Shalom House until 2010, when she moved with her daughter, Liz (nee Cover) Fuls, and family to Galloway.
A young Joan started her career working for social security in PA, and retired at Job Services, Bacharach Blvd, Atlantic City, in 1988. Joan visited Paris in Sept. 1952 and had the greatest memories from that trip.
She was predeceased by her parents, Joseph James and Helen (nee Roache) Kehoe; her sisters, Bunny Kehoe and Ann Bradley; husband, William Cover; and children, Billy and Mary Cover.
She is survived by her daughter, Liz (Earl) Fuls; granddaughters, Brittany (David) Johnson, and Shelly Fuls (Freddy) whom she resided with in their home, where she was loved and cared for. She is also survived by two sons, Michael (Peggy) Cover and Joseph (Donna) Cover, also survived by seven grandchildren She was a mother of five and grandmother of seven.
She lived a long 90 years, surviving three heart attacks, 2 battles with breast cancer, and polio. Her memories will forever live on, may Mrs. C rest in peace.
A visitation will be held from 10-11am, followed by a memorial service at 11am on Monday, January 8th at the George H. Wimberg Funeral Home, 1707 New Road, Linwood. Interment will follow at Atlantic City Cemetery, Greenwood Section, Pleasantville. Joan’s last request was for everyone to wear purple.
