Obituary of Alexander Spickofsky
Spickofsky, Alexander, 98 of Cape May Court House, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, October 2, 2017.
Born in Norfolk, VA, he was brought up in Bergen County where he resided until moving to Cape May County in 1960. He owned and operated Grassy Sound Marina in North Wildwood and later, Al’s Texaco in CMCH until his retirement in 1987.
He served in WWII as a Front Line Staff Sergeant in the U.S. Army. He received the Purple Heart, Good Conduct Medal, and European, African, and Middle Eastern Service Medal.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Rita. He is survived by his daughters, Jane, Karen, Lynne, and Suzanne; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. One of eleven children, survived by two brothers and two sisters.
